Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need to register my alarm system?

It depends on your municipality. Some counties and cities require the homeowner or business owner to register their alarm system, others do not. Below are some useful forms and a weblink that may help you with local requirements:

Miami-Dade County Police Registration Form
City of Miami Registration Form
Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Registrartion Form
Online Resource for many other municipalities (AlarmPermit.Com)

If I eliminate my home phone line, will my alarm system still work?

In most cases your alarm system will continue to function locally. However, since most systems are designed to communicate with the central station via a land line (your standard home phone line), alarm signals generated by the alarm system will not reach the central station, thus leaving you unprotected. In some cases, your alarm system may show a communication trouble untill the situation is resiolved.

If you are thinking about eliminating your home phone line, or switching to a voice over IP (VOIP) service, please contact us to discuss your options. We offer a wide range of products that allow your security system to continue to operate and communicate alarm signals with the use of Internet modules and cellular (GSM) communicators specifically designed to work with a broad range of control panels.
